11.04.2021 We are deeply saddened to inform you that today our dear friend Grigor Brutyan, an armenologist- chronologist, astrophysicist, PhD, head of the department of Archaeoastronomy and Cultural Astronomy of Byurakan Observatory, our comrade-in-arms in the struggle for the protection of Armenian cultural values passed away.
Last summer, Grigor Brutyan headed scientific expedition in Carahunge organized by the Armenian National University of Architecture and Construction of the Byurakan Observatory after Hambardzumyan and did considerable work to reveal additional justifications in the theory of "Carahunge as an ancient observatory". His untimely death is a great loss for the true armenology. Our condolences to all the relatives and close people.
