SUMERIAN AND URARTIAN LANGUAGE COURSES ARE BEING ORGANIZED.The aim of the courses is to train a new generation of Sumerologists and Urartologists in Armenia, who will be tasked with continuing and developing these fields within Armenian studies.

The course will be conducted in two levels: for beginners (from zero knowledge) and more advanced instruction for those who already have some prior knowledge.

The Sumerian classes will be taught by Armen Davtyan.The Urartian classes will be taught by Sargis Ayvazyan.

The courses are free of charge.

Those interested should send their personal information to  carahunge.center@gmail.com email address.  Please include the word “Course” in the subject line, followed by:

1. First name, last name

2. Year of birth, phone number

3. University graduated from (if applicable)

4. For current students and PhD candidates: university and field of study

5. The language: Sumerian or Urartian

Anyone who has completed high school and is under 40 years old may participate.
