On November 25, 2023, the opening ceremony of the street named after Academician Paris Heruni, the largest armenian scientist, radiophysicist, radio astronomer, armenologist and outstanding personality, took place in the Davtashen province of Yerevan:
The event was attended by scientists, politicians, cultural figures, employees of the All-Union Institute of Radio-Physical Measurements (VNIIRI), which was created and led by P. Herouni, relatives and friends. The grand opening of the sign on Paris Herouni Street took place (designer: founder member of the Karaunj Center Tovmas Badalyan):
A red ribbon was cut, and the grand opening of the sign, the author of which is the co-founder of the "Carahunge Armenological Center" Tovmas Badalyan, took place.
In their speeches, the participants of the solemn ceremony spoke about the scientific contribution of Paris Herouni and the importance of his personality in general for the Armenian people.
Among the speakers were: linguist, candidate of Philology. Hrachik Hakobjanyan, Associate Professor of the Bryusov University of Linguistics and Social Sciences, architect, Associate Professor of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Garnik Stepanyan, Professor of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, head of the project "National Space Center Herouni" Arevik Sargsyan, Vahagn Krbekyan, member of the Armenian branch of the Patriotic Union "Achn", son of the founder and president of the Union Gevorg Krbekyan (it should be noted that the blood of achnci flows in the veins of Paris Herouni), correspondent of the regional newspaper Kotayk, writer, lawyer Samvel Machkalyan. Gagik Ginosyan, a cyberneticist, public figure, specialist in Armenian traditional dances, founder and artistic director of the Karin National Dance Ensemble, delivered a brilliant speech. The head of the "Carahunge Armenological Center", the daughter of Academician Paris Herouni, Nana Heruni, expressed her gratitude.
After the ceremony and speeches, Gagik Ginosyan and the Karin group performed Armenian traditional Armenian dances, and those present joined the dance circle. Singer-songwriter Arsin Hambaryan also performed the songs. There was an atmosphere of celebration, joy, pride and inspiration from the long-awaited event!
The event was organized by the "Carahunge Armenological Center", with the support of Davtashen Municipality.
