The meaning of the Sumerian language for Armenian studies

Armen Davtyan is one of the prominent linguists of modern Armenia, an outstanding representative of historical linguistics, and the author of proof of the commonality of the Armenian-Sumerian languages. Many linguists of the world raised in their studies the question of the amazing commonality between Armenian and Sumerian, Armenian and Tocharian, Armenian and Hittite languages, but they remained on different altars of academic linguistics and, without giving way to their theories, were consigned to oblivion․ Only Vilen Safaryan and Armen Davtyan, using completely different platforms and methods, managed to scientifically substantiate the question of the historical identity of the Armenians and Sumerians not as peoples of related tribes, but the identity of these two peoples, thanks to which the language that has come down to us in writing, It is characterized as a stage of the Armenian language, which actually existed at least 2500 years before Grabar (Old Armenian). The identification process can be considered as completed, but today the phase of its global recognition begins. Nevertheless, Armen Davtyan continues his tireless work on Sumerian texts, discovering new systematic evidence of Armenian-Sumerian lexical, grammatical, and phonetic communities.
