On September 1st, members of the Carahunge Armenological Center visited the Yerevan State University Observatory, which has been renewed and modernized by the efforts of its director, astrophysicist Ashot Melqonyan.
The observatory was founded in 1933, this year one of the best telescopes of its time was installed here, which is still working great, and thanks to the help of Ashot Melkonyan, the guests were able to get acquainted with the telescope and the planets Lusyntag (Jupiter) and Yerevak (Saturn).
Only very late in the evening, the members of the center say goodbye to the observatory. Thanks to Ashshot Melkonyan for the warm welcome!
